Disable Recently Opened File List

In an effort to help users, Windows Vista creates a handy list of recently opened files and programs. For those of you that require these items to be private, you can disable this feature by right-clicking on an empty area of the Taskbar and selecting 'Properties'. Click on the 'Start Menu' tab and uncheck the checkboxes labeled 'Store and display a list of recently opened files' and 'Store and display a list of recently opened programs'. Click 'OK' to save your changes.
